Originally conceived as a weekly newsletter featureHomecoming was submitted to Fulbright Korea’s Infusion magazine and chosen by blind selection by the publication’s editors for the fall/winter 2017 issue. The piece follows the writer as he travels to his father and grandfather’s hometown to participate in the family’s annual ancestral rites at various grave mounds hidden amidst the forest of a nondescript mountain.
